Curvwork is a multidimensional design office. We have diverse clients that seek communications design expertise from brand development to packaging, web sites, annual reports and brochures, exhibits, catalogs and advertising. Servicing the New England market for 20 years, we work in partnership with our clients to develop effective communication solutions in response to our customers' needs. Our experience includes the fields of finance, utilities, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, retail, engineering, architecture, education, insurance, seafood, communications, institutional, and government.
Arthur Johnson, Creative Director and designer, has over twenty years of experience in advertising, graphic design, computer-aided design and illustration, typography, and art direction of photography, film and video. Before coming to Maine, Arthur was an Art Director at B.B.D.O. in New York with television and print accounts including Pepsi, Gillette, and General Electric. Arthur received a BFA from Pratt Institute School of Art & Design.
Mark Smith, also from Pratt, worked in New York after graduating for a number of prestigious design firms including Chermayeff & Geismar and HLC Group with clients such as Chase Manhattan Bank, Mobil Oil, Philip Morris, Citicorp, New York Merchantile Exchange and Union Pacific. He also studied with Milton Glaser at the School of Visual Arts, has instructed graphic design courses at the Maine College of Art and is a board memeber of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA, Maine). Mark moved to Maine in 1988 and founded Mark Smith Design and Electric Leaf.com.
Rob Verrier, owner of Ion Design Group, has twenty years experience with environmental graphics. Rob has designed corporate environments for trade shows, general exhibits, retail sales, architectural signage and informational kiosks. Before founding Ion Design Group in Portland, Maine, Rob was an employee of Landor Associates and then I.M. Pei & Partners, in New York City. |
